MATAPHOR

THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS – ETA = WHENEVER?!

ANY WORD IS A METAPHOR

One of Sydney Bank’s most memorable sayings is “LOOK BEYOND THE WORDS!” Don’t listen to what I say look beyond the words. Considering some people had flown thousands of miles just to hear what Sydney Banks was saying

THIS IS A REALLY PECULIAR THING TO SAY.

So, what did he mean?

Understanding ‘THE THREE PRINCIPLES’ results in an indescribable feeling. That feeling comes from within by looking within. Syd’s big problem ‘All I can possibly do is point to what I know.’ A device. which points to another device is a METAPHOR. {TAKE A DEEPBREATH}

If I say to you the word ‘FROG’ what you  see in your mind’s eye is a greenie-colored reptile going ‘Ribbet, Ribbet.’ But clearly, the word FROG just conveys what it is we mean. The word FROG is a cipher for a brown-green cold-blooded reptile that eats flies.

ALL words just mean something that is not a word.

Sydney Banks was telling. us about something that was NOT a word, using words to. do it.

Sydney Banks was a metaphor.

{Mull this over a bit with me before we go any further with our Psyco LOGIC.}

TO BE CONTINUED…

We are all shaped by the jobs we do and the people we know. I worked in light electrical engineering for BT for 23 years. Basically, I am a problem solver through training and experience. I saw The Three Principles as a problem that needed solving. After all there were a large number of people out there that were saying that something had occurred to them and they were very unsure of how that happened and even. more unsure of how they could tell other people about how to share their experiences. That’s a problem, right?

I got, to be honest, there have been problems in engineering that I could not solve. When that happened we teamed up with other engineers and we smashed that sucker eventually.

Teams have been working on ‘The Three Principles’ now for close to five decades. I think we are making progress, but I ain’t certain about that 🙂

Thinking is JUST a process. I once had a very clever work colleague describe a computer as a very fast idiot. It was a collection of very fast switches that knew two answers to every question. Yes and the other answer was NO. The process was an interrogation using only direct questions. The processor asks 60 times a second “Have you pressed a key yet?. When it gets the answer “Yes” it changes the question “Is it an A?” if that’s a NO it changes the question “Is it a B?” TEDIOUS? YES but to us as soon as we touch key P it looks like the computer reacted to our key press straight away. Got IT!  THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS OF QUESTIONS (read THOUGHTS) for such a simple outcome. The user pressed P.

This is how MIND uses THOUGHT to navigate this life. Now I have raised your CONSCIOUSNESS about how the trick is done. You know! I just had to explain it to you and it was long hard and tedious. Forget my words just SHOW someone else how the trick is done

Showing by example makes you a METAPHOR. You are an example of what you mean. Your example is a much better teacher that any amount of words.

If you want to learn any new skill then do not read a book about it. PRACTISE THE SKILL. At first, you will be terrible at it but it is only practice that will make you perfect. Think of the best guitar player that you know and admire. Do you think that the first time he picked up a Strat he sounded that good? Think of a footballer that is your top striker! How do you think that he got that good? You can DO anything if you practice. If you have genuinely practiced playing the violin for 15 years and it still sounds like a cat being scalded then perhaps the violin is not really for you 🙂 Try a trumpet 🙂 BUT DON’T BUY ANOTHER BOOK ON PLAYING THE VIOLIN, OR GO ON A COURSE, OR WATCH  A VIDEO. Practise, Practise, Practise. It may be very painful but it is ONLY practice that will improve your Violin playing.

**

In Australian and British English, ‘practise’ is the verb and ‘practice’ is the noun. In American English, ‘practice’ is both the verb and the noun.No matter how much I practice my practise I never get it right 🙂 Live a Life which is a METAPHOR for The Three Principles

The logical question is…

How do I live a life that is a METAPHOR for The Three Principles?

MIND

THOUGHT

CONSCIOUSNESS

I cannot assume anything dear reader. So,

Every human mind has direct access to its experience here on earth, and the human mind always has access to its own spiritual roots… from whence it came.

The Universal Mind, or the impersonal mind, is constant and unchangeable.

The personal mind is in a perpetual state of change.

All humans have the inner ability to synchronise their personal mind with their impersonal mind to bring harmony into their lives.

This is a QUOTE from the missing Link by Sydney Banks

Thought is a divine tool, nothing more, nothing less, only a tool. A wise person, like a good tradesman, uses this tool to the best of his or her ability.

The power of Thought is not self-created.

Thought is a divine gift, which serves you immediately after you are born.

Thought is the creative agent we use to direct us through life.

This is a QUOTE from the missing Link by Sydney Banks

All living creatures were given the power of Mind, Consciousness and Thought, which enables them to observe divine creation, or form.

Consciousness is the gift of awareness.

Consciousness allows the recognition of form, form being the expression of Thought.

This is a QUOTE from the missing Link by Sydney Banks

This is The Three Principles Bible as far as I am concerned! This is THE ONLY BOOK that I strongly recommend you buy regarding The Three Principles. It is very important that we all sing from the same Hymn Sheet. Let me explain. Universal Mind (to which we all have access with zero exception) will tell YOU the way.

TO BECOME A METAPHOR YOUR LIFE HAS TO REFLECT TO OTHERS…

  1. UNIVERSAL MIND
  2. DEVINE THOUGHT
  3. YOUR PERSONAL LEVEL OF CONSCIOUSNESS

DO NOT BE A FOLLOWER.

HAVE YOUR OWN PERSONAL UNDERSTANDING OF THE THREE PRINCIPLES THAT YOU GAINED FROM ASKING INTERNAL QUESTIONS. YOLU MUST NOT BECOME A RUBBER STAMP OR A DEMENTED PARROT.

DO NOT TRY TO EXPLAIN EVER THE THREE PRINCIPLES. JUST GUIDE PEOPLE HOW THEY CAN UNDERSTAND THEM FOR THEMSELVES. UNIVERSAL TRUTH IS UNIVERSAL TRUTH.

IT IS THE GREAT GOD CALLED

  • I AM
  • WHAT IS
  • JUST IS
  • GOD
  • ALLAH
  • BUDDHA
  • JEHOVA
  • JESUS

I can stop shouting now. God is always there and so you have to find him. No one can lead you to him. no one. all intellectual argument fails when you cannot explain a feeling or a belief in some thing you know exists but cannot be detected by our. own 5 senses. Some people have a 6th sense but only because they are lucky enough to be conscious of its existence. We all have the 6th sense its just very few of us have the faith, hope, chariot and courage to acknowledge its very existence.

My recommendation for deepening your understanding of The Three Principles. Emma is a gently guiding hand and expects no-one to like a clone follow her by regurgitating everything that she says / does. Emma is looking for clients that want to stand on their own two feet and have personal experience and understanding of what Sydney Banks was talking about.

Sydney Banks was challenged all the time by people who had convinced themselves that he was in error over many things that he believed were absolutes. One of his replies stuck in my head and that was; “Oh, he is just angry because I know and he don’t.”

This sounds like arrogance but it really is not. This sounds like stupidity but it is not. This sounds like a power defence but it is not. Sydney Banks never felt threatened. He told audiences over Andover again “ignore my words, don’t listen to me.” Does that sound like a control freak to you?

When I talk to people about spiritual things they ofter ask for one further sign and if I give it then they will believe what I am saying. There is always something more, different or better they need before they will accept any of the evidence that they are offered. I casually say to these people “How much evidence would you need before you were convinced?” I will say this once caution is a very good then but when you procrastinated for 6 years you have to ask yourself WHY do I not believe him!.

This is why I decided to become a metaphor. I am sick of the I will never be convinced brigade. The I know better brigade. The rubber stampers. The demented parrots. I now say look how these beliefs have changed me in what I say and do.
