Meditation Practice

Back to Meditation

Tara Brach does her meditation sessions with a live audience. They are sat with her in a hall and the experience is very much alive. When recordings of these sessions are used there is a tendency to for the audience to panic during long periods of silence. This is totally understandable as the recording could be faulty, the meditator could be concerned about falling asleep etc. So these are NOT original recordings they have had music by  Jordan Jessop added and or sound effects.

You can find Tara on    WEBSITE

You can find Jordan on WEBSITE

The Sound effects are from an Amazon album “Nature Sounds: 20 Hours of Relaxing Natural Ambiences For Meditation and Sleep”

A list of recordings is shown below. They are scheduled recordings (hence listed by date order) and are used by the S.P.I.R.I.T. Facebook group run by Diane Clune.

AFTER the meditation dated 20220525 the meditations will be geared up more for the home user and will be less geared towards a group using them for energy contact with the “other side” and more towards those of us that are just plain stressed out by this modern world and need some time away from thinking, planning, scheming and all that very exhausting crap that this modern world of chaos seems to demand from us.

The meditations range in length from 16 minutes up to 60 minutes. It is recommended that you read through the very short meditation course on this website before you attempt to try these ones.

These meditations are for serious meditators who wish to leave this world behind and enter the silence of lifes reality far away from EGO, self created illusion and the world’s great clammer to create NOISE. Too much thinking and brain activity is NOT good for anyone as “thinking” leads to discontent with life, pain suffering and general anxiety about LIFE.

Sydney Banks greatly endorsed the benefits of meditation. Meditation is a way to achieve presence in the here and NOW. Tara Brach illustrates the human condition by use of a circle divided into two. The upper arch being TRANCE and the lower PRESENT. Some people live their whole lives in TRANCE and are completely detached from reality. IT is “best practice” to flit between the two states so that a GRIP on what is REAL is firmly established.

Over Thinking
Normal Thought

The TRANCE is our minds way of making sence of what we do not understand. A lot of what we believe to make the puzzle pieces fit is garbage. Without challenge though we go along with it all.

There are but two states that our encounters with the world have. We are PRESENT and interacting with everything happening in the now OR we are in a TRANCE like state. We are removed from reality in a world of our own creation.

The meditations below are not specially created for SPIRIT Group and are more of general use

Meditation connects us with the PRESENT. We are truly here, and very consciously aware of NOW. Any thought we have is observed and no meaning is placed upon it. It is a series of THOUGHTs without thinking!

ALL OF THE ABOVE MEDITATIONS ARE GREAT EXAMPLES OF THE DIVERSITY OF WHAT MEDITATION CAN BE.

A GREAT INTRO TO THE GENERAL WORLD OF BEING IN THE NOW.

I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED TO DO MY OWN STUFF THOUGH AND THE MEDITATIONs BELOW (yes you are right there aren’t any there yet)  WILL BE LED BY Me. I HOPE I SUCCEED AND LEAD YOU TO A DOORWAY TO TRANQUILITY. KEEP THEM CROSSED FOR I THINK I CAN DO IT!

When you listen to any of these please bear in mind I am just a competent amateur with his fingers crossed. I don’t know if they will work for you or me.

BUT I NEED TO TRY!
