Ebeneezer Scrooge wanted so much to be safe. He thought that his safety was enshrined in how much money he had in the bank. The Ghost PAST showed him how he ended up on the path that he had clearly chosen from all the better options that he had. The Ghost of Christmas NOW showed him the error of all his ways, but dear old Ebbie missed it. He showed him two children one of which was named IGNORANCE and the other named WANT. NOW told him to beware them both, but especially the boy IGNORANCE for written on his forehead was the word DOOM. The Ghost of future showed him DOOM and it was only then that the message dawned upon him. Ebeneezer Scrooge was both the boy and the girl. He was very IGNORANT and had a permanent sense of want. ARE WE LIKE THAT? Are when in our fear of the world, so ignorant that we do not recognise enough when we clearly should see it? Oh, Merry Christmas! Be of great cheer!
